About David Dowell
David developed his love for film in the suburbs of San Francisco. At the age of 14, he picked up a camera and collaborated with a few of his neighborhood friends, making a short horror/comedy film called “The Bunny.” The film spooked and delighted his friends and family alike.
There and then, the entertaining bug was planted.
That path led him to work in Los Angeles in physical production. He worked as a camera assistant and lighting technician on a variety of different projects including feature films, TV series, commercials, music videos, corporate projects and documentaries.
As a camera operator and a 1st assistant camera, David has worked on acclaimed award‐winning hit series including “Pretty Little Liars”, “Ugly Betty”, “Lone Star”, “American Horror Story”, “Justified”, “Nashville”, and “Snowfall.”
Having this unique background David has moved into producing and shooting commercials and documentaries.
David comments, “One of my favorite aspects of this industry is to work
with amazing groups of gifted and talented people from all over the world.” He adds, “Filmmaking is the ultimate team sport”
